Reverse Logistics, Bosch

Introduction

Bosch are a long-standing user of the Recruit Retail Services plc Reverse Logistics service, benefiting from the verification of store ‘customer return’ claims and receiving physical product back. 

Situation

To increase efficiencies they required a 'process input product' on their S.A.P. stock system before they received the physical product or documentation.

Solution

The solution was actually quite simple. By being able to utilise the technology already in use by Recruit Retail Services plc, we were able to install an ISDN line directly into Bosch servers.

To make this work efficiently, we altered some of our internal processes. Normally when stock is returned, it is scanned onto our own system. For Bosch, we had two dedicated PCs installed within our data entry office. The stock information then by-passed our main scanning system and was keyed straight onto the Bosch system via the ISDN line.

Result

After a three month trial, the increased efficiencies in their credit and stock control system convinced Bosch to channel all of their brands into the new system.
